Recounting Iraqi defeat (thus humiliation of the Arab-speaking nations as a whole) would no doubt have caused an undesirable reaction of flak. The paper, although servicing a Diaspora Arab audience of Arabs who live in England, gains its funding and support from major Arab sources including wealthy Saudi companies. Maintaining its support and funding, the paper, rather than dwell on defeat, encourages hope by pointing to resources that the resilient Iraqi nation has. It slips in about the Jordanians' party activities with ' the occupation of Palestine', focuses on the call for Jihad everywhere on the Arab streets and indirectly slips in the success that this call for jihad is generating.
