Finally, it is interesting to return to another 'Arab news' article published by Alkhereiji (April 4, 2003) that lifts its readers spirits by announcing that "Baath will survive." No news is made of their defeat. Rather they turn it around and assure their readers that "Jordanian Baath Party is alive and well in Amman, and has ties to all Baath parties in the region - including Iraq." The brunt of their article is then devoted to describing the militant and heroic exploits of the Baath party including the party's activities against ' the occupation of Palestine.' Recounting Iraqi defeat (thus humiliation of the Arab-speaking nations as a whole) would no doubt have caused an undesirable reaction of flak. The paper, although servicing a Diaspora Arab audience of Arabs who live in England, gains its funding and support from major Arab sources including wealthy Saudi companies. Maintaining its support and funding, the paper, rather than dwell on defeat, encourages hope by pointing to resources that the resilient Iraqi nation has. It slips in about the Jordanians' party activities with ' the occupation of Palestine', focuses on the call for Jihad everywhere on the Arab streets and indirectly slips in the success that this call for jihad is generating.
