[EXCERPT] . . . .

Most of these programs have been ineffective in lessening the frequency and occurrence of juvenile offenses.

The first recommendation to help in the reduction of juvenile crime is to adopt programs that consist of early intervention and comprehensiveness features. This is largely because most of the current programs, which are largely unsuccessful, only focus lessening these activities once the delinquent behavior has occurred. Programs that contain the early intervention and comprehensiveness features have proven to be effective in lessening juvenile crime (Saminsky, 2010). Secondly, it's important to define what the early intervention feature is when developing the program.

Conclusion:

The increase in juvenile crime rates, especially juvenile violence in the recent past has made juvenile crime to become a serious problem in the criminal justice system. While there are various issues surrounding these crimes, there is need to adopt measures that will lessen them.
